Quotes on Success

College has started so I'm waking up before 6 everyday again. I really busy and I cant update my blog on weekdays :'( but I'll try my best on weekends.  " People with greater success face greater challenges and sacrifice." Hmm,, this is just a motivation for those who are working hard and just a reminder to never give up:) Here's a quote I always forever stay with: " Hard work and good deeds will always be rewarded, if not now it definitely will one day. "  For people who are doing good things, may it be to Allah, to your parents, to your friends, to yourself, to your family or to anyone, keep on doing it. If you are studying hard, keep up the hard efforts because it will definitely be rewarded by Allah ( directly or indirectly, now or later.) It just will and that is what I believe and what has motivated me to keep on going in life. There are ups and downs but when you are doing something good or with good intentions, have faith and say

Choosing a Career Path

I 'm writing this so most of you won't come here and say that I have been away without any notice and you come and see the same thing posted. Ok someone told me that so apologies:P I am starting college today so I will only be able to update on a weekly basis. One week before the start of college life, I got a phone call that totally surprised me and left me in complete shock. It was not bad news , it was supposed to be good news. But this last minute piece of information is hard to digest and I was just blank about it. I have been offered a scholarship from Shell and JPA earlier. Shell in Engineering or Geoscience and last month JPA offered Sains Hayat. This call I received on Friday, 24th June 2011 and the courier from Sunway made me feel lost and confused about what was going on. For those of you who don't know, I applied for Medicine from JPA and the first offer was Sains Hayat in a local university. Since the procedures were not clear and the offer was not exactly w

First Day Of College

Today was the first day of college life and I would say it was pretty ok. Nothing much except for orientation and hearing the long talks which I would regard some as pretty beneficial for person who knows nothing much about the place like me haha. Well to me first day is all about meeting people, getting to know others and after a few years in high school, you hate the fact that you have to do it all over again. Some people would love to have their high school friends again in college and I'm lucky to have one of my closest friends there with me too:) Most would end up making new friends, saying hello and introducing yourself all over again. It feels like the beginning of the first day of high school or the First Grade for those who have been in the same school since Elementary. Life goes on and eventually you will have to leave your loved ones at some stage in life. The only thing you should bear in mind is to be thankful with how your life is before it changes and becomes more ch

Anugerah Khas Alumni at Majlis Anugerah Cemerlang SAB 2011

What Is Anugerah Khas ALUMNI? This is the first time they started this award in my school so I did not see this coming and I did not how was the evaluation either. Usually they just have Tokoh Murid Akademik and Ibu Bapa Tokoh Murid Akademik. In 2011, May Lee was given this award. So when, our Principal, Puan Latifah gave her speech and told us about these awards, I listened carefully. Based on my Principal, this award is for students who have achieved excellence in academic, involved in various co-curricular activities, all-rounders, portray good personalities etc. That's some things I heard and starting from year 2011 they are awarding it to 1 boy and 1 girl for Tokoh Lelaki Alumni and Tokoh Perempuan Alumni. This year,  it was Mazlan and I. At first, I was like greaat... and thought it was just a declaration that we were the official Alumni's of the year. But I have this serious blur case so its actually a special award FROM the Alumni's of SAB. I only realised this whe

Choosing A Scholarship: JPA or Shell Scholarship:)

Dear all, thanks for taking the time to read my blog. Here is a topic that I thought would be interesting as practically EVERYONE is asking me about it. hahaha Ok so I graduated from school in 2010 and managed to pass my SPM with straight A+. Even before SPM and getting the results, my aim and goal was to achieve a full scholarship and that is why I studied hard and worked persistently throughout my school years. When I was small I asked my mum the importance of studying hard and to get good grades. She explained that it is for later on when I go to university and she told me how expensive the cost was if we were to pay ourselves. I still remember that time although I felt so small and it felt like ages ago. I wanted to achieve a full scholarship and I did not want my parents to have to pay for my higher education as a token of appreciation. At least this is something I can try to do and they can save their money for other important things. I applied for many scholarships but the m

HELP University

Today i went to survey Help University and Im keen on going there to be honest. A kind lecturer offered to take us upstairs to the office without writing in my name at the security, get a pass and whatsoever... She explained to my mum and I about the education there and how the A level course is conducted. She gave me some of the best information and im glad to meet one of the dedicated lecturers. Oh and today was the FIRST TIME since the day i went surveying universities that they actually took me INTO THE SCIENCE LAB and showed me the facilities, introduced the names of the items, The lab assistant, Mr Faizal was nice as well. When i went to the office and met Michelle, she was really nice and welcoming. She gave us info that we needed and not only to promote the college itself and WOW. i really love it. I know and i agree the place does look like prison or should i say an ancient place but thats the best of it. Universities in UK all look like that and yeah. I am really look

Choosing A Pre-U

Now that Shell is sponsoring me for Pre-U as well as going overseas, i have to make sure i excel in my A Level. At first my top choices were Sunway, Intec Shah Alam or Taylor's Subang Jaya. But then now i have laid out the pros and cons, surveyed the place, enquire information from people and do some research, it is clear that HELP offers the best Edexcel A Level course. As for Sunway and Taylor, they only offer Cambridge A Level. The difference between Cambridge A Level and Edexcel A Level is the exam structure and the fact that Cambridge is more traditional based whilst Edexcel is modern-based. Nothing else is different. So i thought why stress myself? I might as well take Edexcel and it the end the results and the number of A's is what matters. Both are recognised worldwide and are on par. They are GCE Level examinations and people wont ask in detail "What board of A Level did you enrol in?" They'd be more concern on your grades and that question i just men

This is my mum during lunch. After the award-giving. Overseas scholars and I After the award with Pauline :) With the Minister and Chairman on stage The one beside me is the the Chairman of Shell, the one handing over the certificate is the Deputy Minister of Education. Hilton Hotel. That was the destination they chose for us:) Great place and tight security. The Deputy Minister 11 of Education, YB Dato' Saifuddin Abdullah was there as well as Mr. Anuar Taib, Chairman of Shell Malaysia. Conclusion, it was super grand and not how I expected it to be. Met tons of people. I even met my teacher in Form 1 at my previous SMK Bukit Indah, Cikgu Raja, my Seni Visual teacher who was also the school administrator. She accompanied one of her students, Syafiq because his parents couldnt make it. Syafiq came for the Bursary Award. There were 2 awards that day, The Bursary Award and the Scholarship Award. The Bursary Award was for excellent PMR and SPM

JPA Interview

I was super duper nervous about the interview because of a gazilion reasons. I was thinking too much and i asked my friends who had already finished theirs. Finally the day came and i went to UITM shah alam (intec) Seksyen 17. my interview was at 2.05 and we started our journey at 11am. I reached there at 12 sth and had some time to chill and calm down. I had very little lunch ( paling sikit ever) That day when I had Shell Interview, I woke up the earliest ever. So conclusion I tend to do weird things when I have interviews. ok so we went upstairs at 1.30pm. I always cannot praying whenever i have interviews so just berdoa and selawat. I entered and the lady asked for all my certs. She didnt look very friendly but not garang either. I'd say ...ok:) Then she gave us a tag with a number and a piece of paper. I got number 1. Shoot! but i thought to myself, lucky number 1. so the rest of the students followed behind me. it was 1 chinese girl who looked like aqilah in my school, 1 chine

Driving Test with JPJ

Hey,, hm i ve been pretty busy and everyday I think of updating my blog with the latest news but when i turn on my laptop i decide to get the other priorities done. Finally (sigh of relief) i managed to get a LOT of things done this week: scholarship applications, go to school, certify certs, get my new certs, settle ' THE THINGS AT WORK':( ( wait lemme change it to a smiley since its settled), and finally finally I got to settle my driving test... I had my first test on 4th March 2011 and i passed bukit, parking and 3 pointer but,,,, I failed the on the road test with the officer:P oops SO i had to repeat on 25th March but then JPJ cancelled all the test in that day and i finally got TODAY:D Honestly, i was freakishly nervous and I just dunno how to explain how i felt. Scared and all. Well, the officer chatted with me bout my SPM results, my family, friends, university life and stuff like that but he kept on getting mad at me when I made a mistake and he sounded seriously a

At Ilmu Studio Setiawangsa

On Wed, i met Mr Ven downstairs after finishing work and he asked me to come the next day (yesterday) at 5pm with my results. I came and the first thing he asked for was my results. Then, he showed me his MRI Report from Ampang Puteri Hospital. he asked me to tell him what it was about. I wasnt a pro or anything so i just read and it said that one of his spinal passages were narrowed near the nerve ends and i dont think that sounded pleasant... I told him that i went for MRI once but it was nothing serious just my fibromyalgia( sth to do with the muscle) ok then he took me upstairs. and introduced my in front of Mr Jesu's class. omg that was embarrasing because they were studying Physics and suddenly Mr Ven asked me to motivate them :P Ok so i introduced myself and started talking. I was honest and told them exactly how i studied, my feelings when i got the results and my advice to them. Then it was open for Q and A. I didnt get to finish answering all their questions so i gave th

Advice to SPM candidates:D

Dear SPM candidates, since several have been asking me I might as well write it here and you can read it whenever you want. First believe in yourself, don't be taken in by any negative comments even if that comment is from someone you truly love and trust. You believe in yourself no matter what ANYONE says. Work hard. There is no such thing as getting AWESOME grades if you just sit down and relax. After working hard only can you bertawakkal to ALLAH and ask for HIS guidance. Make sacrifices for example: while everyone is enjoying their time going out and gong for parties, you stay home and study cuz you having an exam soon. Hello! this doesn't mean you cant go to any party. Just limit yourself and don't go to too many or to the ones near your exam because it will distract you. :D Next dont forget to "manja" yourself sometimes with the things you like. Feel relaxed when you study and do it cuz you really want to and you have to. I never ever slept late to study and

My SPM Results

Image
That morning i woke up and started to do everything slowly so that i will reach school late to get my results. I made excuses and told my mum to settle all her stuff first before going to my school to get the results. Finally when the clock showed 10 am, my mum said no we have to go to school now:) i was like oh my!!... butterflies were in my stomach and i felt my insides so hot and my heart was pounding and my palms were kinda sweaty. i wasnt this nervous yesterday but now that we're right in front of the school, i started to feel the heat and tension. =^.^= Ok so i entered and straight headed to the toilet. The moment i stepped in memories flashed in my mind cuz so many things happened last yearin this very toilet. I remember making frequent visits with Vinosha and i remember Raihan trimming my hair so that it will look nicer. I remember looking in the mirror and taking pictures. Hm...never thought a toilet will bring back so many memories. Ok so next i headed

Day Before SPM

Image
On Tuesday, (the day before SPM) i went to KLCC with Puteri and Saemah. I wasnt working and my driving class was cancelled so it was SUPERB!! hehe My mum fetched Puteri at her house since her parents are performing umrah. Then my mum sent us to Setiawangsa LRT and we went there ourselves. When we reached KlCC and was about to exit LRT, i accidentally went through the wrong way and embarasses myself (so much for not using the LRT often teehee) . Then we met Saemah on our way to the cinema. She had a really brilliant make-over. With new haircut and braces. Suddenly Famira messaged me and said I see u.... which freaked me out at first but then i saw her from far and we waved at her. We watched Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa which is really nice Malay movie (half in English and half in Malay). There are even some American or British actors. I like Merong Mahawangsa.:D OH! we got the ticket for just RM9 cuz it started before 12pm so there was a student promotion. After the movie, i saw a few mis

Shell Face-to-face Interview

On Friday, 11 march i was happily going online and chatting with Ishaq i think.. and Aniq and one more person was Raihan or Puteri.. oh wait i think it was Anis. EH no anis texted me. ok whatever the main thing was that i was happily texting, chatting with some people when... I received a email with my name on it. hmm...i was curious and the time was 10.44 pm. Friday night. I opened the email and was SUPER DELIGHTED to see that Shell sent me an email stating that i succeeded for the first interview(telephone interview) and I was invited to Shell House Kuala Lumpur for the second interview. Shell Telephone Interview

The reason why I feel obliged to write about this on my blog was because I had a Shell telephone interview last Friday which was 2 days ago and trust me i couldnt imagine myself surviving that interview until i got a few tips from some people who had it a few years ago and shared it on their blog. So the purpose of me writing this is so that  whoever going to a similar one can get help from what I'm about to write. :):) Before the interview I applied in Jan with the help of my mum who actually took the time and went to search for available scholarships to apply for. Thanks mum!!!Love you. Well yeah so at the end of Jan I got this email from Shell stating that they will be calling me for an interview. I waited and waited for them to call me but no call...Finally after the first week of Feb I decided to call them up and ask. They told me that they were following the alphabetical order of names and my name was kinda at the back of the list.It was Chinese New Year holidays and a
