Hari Raya at Melaka

Dear all, i would like to wish you Selamat Hari Raya. To those who don't celebrate, happy holidays!;) Ramadhan is coming to an end..Raya is beginning. ( take note # raya is for a month not 2 days hehe) I feel a mixture of emotions; sad and happy. I'm at Melaka now for Hari Raya. We go here every year during raya except for 2006, the year my brother was born. Happy 5th Birthday my baby Erfan! This is my great grandmother's house (on my mom's side) and its near the Portuguese settlement and the sea. It used to be a kampung house before they renovated it into a single storey house of bricksX) Well, its pretty hot here and windy at night.  Yesterday, I reached here and the little kids forced me to play Ice Cream Soda 1 2 3 and Datuk Harimau and Congkak. Then the boys started playing 'lawan-lawan' and I was the target. ish haha My grandaunts asked me to help 'anyam ketupat' and i just ketatkan je. Me have no idea how to make the anicely shaped ketupats. Whil

DRAMA

Image
" To me, drama is a platform we express ourselves in any way without thinking what others think of us. It is a journey of self-discovery, a place where feelings are a great deal.. The preparation requires hard-work and there's no going back once you're on stage.  It resembles life where all eyes are on you and what you decide to do or say is final. " ... thats how life is in the end, isn't it?.... There are a few reasons that I decided to write this as my new post. First, my Malaysian Studies group recently did our video. It was a boy named Jason ( Sujaysen)  who was rude to his grandma( Visa) , asking for money, cigarettes. When she refused, he stormed off. Angry, he went to her room and tried to steal money. Instead he found an album, full of the memories when his grandma was younger. He went through the pictures and found his grandma's diary. He read every single word and tears flowed down his cheek as he read. She had a Malay bestfriend ( Ra

Hari Raya Shopping

Hari Raya's coming soon and finally got most of my shopping done. Last Saturday we went to Masjid India and at one point, there was too too many people that we could barely move. I never went there and saw it that crowded before. 0.0 Ok so I went there and there was a variety of stuff and it was so hard to choose. At the end of the day, I felt so drained out. That was one of the most tiring shopping sprees ever this year. We went around 11 and went back home around 5.30. It was not very very long, but wow the crowd and the heat made it exhausting. I was busy browsing and trying out clothes that in the end, I was the last one to buy. My mom checked out tudungs at Ariani first and then my brother got his cute little baju melayu, songkok and matching sampin. (everything so mini-sized for him). At  last, around 4.30 pm, I finally found a baju kurung moden for myself. It has a simple design and bubble gum colours. Hmm I don't think I have that colour. While I was shopping I met Jann

Weekly Updates

Hi y'all!:) Goodmorning::D Its a lovely Saturday morning and we planning to go shopping after this. I haven't bought baju raya yet can u believe it?!! haha Well lately been busy and my sister having her SPM trials..finally over phew! XD Usually for Hari Raya I buy a traditional clothes and some casual. The first day I wear kebaya and the second and third a baju kurung or kurung moden or anything that seems nice:) For me, I like something simple but stunning..hehe Hmm i don't like too much complicated design and too sparkly with bedazzles hehe. The best place to get cheap but nice baju kurungs and such are Carrefour and Masjid India. I like it cuz I can get many in my budget. If  you go to a boutique, you probably get one when you can get 4 with that price in the places I stated. Quality wise, you gotta choose the right place and check before purchase. I usually find so many nice ones with I'd say good quality. The price of a full set kebaya is around RM 165 to RM 200 at
