Learning English The Easy Way

Welcome again to each and every one of my readers :)  I am really speed-blogging at the moment to catch up with your requests. I have yet to blog on personal updates. Ok let's start! Every one wants to and needs to speak English. Wherever you go, its a universal medium. If you go to Germany for instance and you don't know German, would you start getting a French dictionary and speak French to them or perhaps Japanese? Oops I don't think so. You will automatically speak English or at least attempt to speak their language.  If you were raised in an English-speaking environment, then good for you. Practice from the early years makes learning much easier. But if you are planning to start now, its not too late to start :) Speaking and Writing have different approaches. Speaking requires more practical work, speaking it out to people and while writing can be self-studied within the comfort of your room. For speaking: Always carry a dictionary, preferably one that trans

Motivation for SPM Trial and Tips for Pendidikan Islam

Image
First, I'd like to wish all SPM students All the Best for your upcoming trials. Some told me that they already started this week. Whatever it is, do your best, study hard and remember that even it is just Trial Exam it is also important. I applied for Shell Scholarship using my trial exam then after several stages they asked for my actual SPM results. Alhamdulillah now thanks to my trial exam I am now going to UK under Shell scholarship for my degree. When I was doing my trial exam, I never ever thought that these results will grant me the scholarship and my dream university. I just did and gave my best and that is what you should do now. You never know when giving your best for the little things may grant you big rewards. There was a request a month ago for SPM Pendidikan Islam. If you guys don't mind, I'll be writing this post in English then if you have any questions I can answer in Malay *hey I speak Malay all the time with my mum you know* First Pendidikan Islam in

The Common Dont's While Studying

Everybody has their own way of studying but avoiding the common dont's while studying will help you to focus better :) Put your phone on general mode at top volume. When I'm deep into studying, it can seriously shock me when my phone beeps or rings ;) Study next to a laptop with your facebook on. Read for hours without any hands on activity like highlighting, writing notes, underlining, doing mind maps. Study with no idea when to stop. Not sure which subject and subtopic to start with when your study session begins. Study at the same place everyday. Its a good idea to change your environment at times to avoid boredom. Study when you're exhausted after a tiring activity. You will find it hard to focus and easily upset when you are unable to answer a question. Its always better to take a nap first than forcing yourself to do it. Depending on people for your material or notes at the last minute. It may lead to increased tension between you and that person if they ar

How To Prevent Boredom Doing the Same Thing Everyday

When you ask me this question, the first thing I would say is: then don't do the same thing everyday. Hmm, but how is this possible right? At first, you think I'm not making sense but read on to find the remedy to one of the most common predicament. *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  * Everyday there is always and will forever be the same things to do. Wake up, brush your teeth, pray, bathe, breakfast, chores, etc. Can you survive one day without a bath? Maybe yes :P How about one day without eating? I'm sure not. But you usually don't eat the same thing everyday. Most of us eat different food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The variety and the slight changes makes it less boring. For those with a higher advantage in life, they are blessed with this opportunity but how about those who barely have anything to eat? That's why we need to always be thankful with what we have and not waste food. Ok I kind of diverted the topic..~ Community message brought

How To Plan A Study Timetable

Image
Whenever I decide to study, I always need a timetable or a reference guide. If I don't have one, I'll start to panic at the last minute and feel like I'm study aimlessly, not sure when to start or stop.  People think that having timetables will make you feel pressured because if you don't follow it, you will feel more guilty. I don't agree with that. To me, it helps make you more disciplined and helps you manage your time. You try your best to follow it but if you can't then make slight changes to the schedule. Alter the subjects if you don't have any mood to study the particular subject that day. If you missed one session, replace that study time at another session that you're suppose to have break or fun time. Problem solved and you feel less stressed out.  Here are a few steps you can follow when planning your study timetable: #1 List down all your subjects and count how many days you have to study. For me, I like to plan one month at a time or

My A-level Results

Image
I was in the middle of writing this a few days ago, my brother suddenly came to my room and asked me to take him to the playground. He begged continuously and wouldn't allow me to even finish this blog post. Now I am continuing my writing. Hmm, now I'm sure you guys were waiting for me to post my results and since I said that I would, guess I gotta keep my promise! MY EDEXCEL A-LEVEL RESULTS  are: BIOLOGY  A 499/600 CHEMISTRY  A 532/600 PHYSICS   A 507/600 MATHEMATICS  A* 558/600 Syukur Alhamdulillah I made the entry requirement to Imperial College London. I guess when I was taking the examination I was focusing more on making the entry requirement since I obtained the offer before the exams and I already knew what was required. They stated in the offer letter that they only look at the 3 best subjects.  For A-levels the paper that I would consider the hardest would be Unit 4 and 5. Be careful of these two! For example my Chemistry was

Mental Preparation on the Day to Face Exam Results

In response to:    fazlinaZahran: salam, hey sis, spm result is coming soon! Please write about the day to face the result. Maybe some tips will be helpful. Thx Dear SPM students, STPM students and all of you who are about to receive your exam results.  A few months ago I was busy giving you all tips and responding to questions and now The Day of Truth is about to arrive. Some people debate on whether exam day or result day is more nerve-wrecking? What do you think? Are you more afraid sitting for exams or getting the results. I would say that both has its own kind of fear. Sitting for exams is fear of not being able to answer while result day is fear of disappointment of not meeting expected grades. Whatever it is, I do not want any of you to feel scared, afraid, disappointed, or any other negative feelings. Remember that you have tried your best and that's the most important thing. You have given your all and you have tried and put in a lot of effort in preparing

My Study Snack

Image
What to eat when you're studying and hungry? Tadaa look at this! My dad made this for me today before he went to work. The best part about having exams is that my mom and dad will always make treats or send something to my room upstairs. If I'm hungry i'll come down but if I don't come down for a long time, then I'll get deliveries to my room hehe. Yesterday I wanted Maggi for dinner but my mum said its not good for now so she made me something else. I can't wait to eat Maggi again ;)  When I took it out the fridge this morning, I thought those oranges looked cute side by side like that.  Thanks Dad for the hotel service :D

Steps To Prepare For A Scholarship Interview

In response to Cece’s request : “ Can you write a post on how to get a scholarship?” When I read that statement, I seriously had no idea what to say or how to respond to that question. Getting a scholarship is not like sitting for an exam. When answering a test paper, there are right or wrong answers but interviews do not. I do have some tips on the best way you can prepare yourself for a scholarship interview. From my experience, interviewers are looking for people who can present themselves well, have a high level of confidence and able to convince them that you are what they are looking for. Having high confidence does not mean you are not scared at all, everybody is scared and being that way gives you pressure to do good and prepare yourself well. Confidence and bravery is overcoming your fears by finding the best solution despite whatever difficult situation you are facing and the ability to deal with pressure by portraying a positive attitude. That is my definition of confi

How I Make Myself More Motivated

I’m writing this for everyone out there who feels like they need motivation in life. I’m not saying this or writing about this because I am 100% motivated but because I feel that people need good material to read. If everyone is just going to complain about their problems to each other, then who’s the one to give good advice or where do we learn from? Some people personally tell me they like to hear things like this on my blog from a person their age than from an adult. They say a teen understands how the society is right now and adults are from a different time.  When you go on social network, you can feel the vibe. It’s a lot of show and tell, many of which are not what it seems to be, fake in other words. You can see how some people are losing the good side of themselves day by day. Many people care more about updating their status than speaking to people.Wishing each other on special events have even slowly faded. When I sent New Year messages, so many people replied “You’re th

Last Days of College at HELP

Image
Its been more than a year since I started college. Wow I still remember the first day. I bet one day ‘time’ can be defined as something that feels very quick.  Today was our last Biology class. Last Friday last Physics class, last Thursday last Chemistry class. Yes I am very relieved but not just yet. Final exams in less than a month!! *studymode on* Before I start telling you what happened today, I just want to say sorry to those people who said they emailed me, fb messaged and I didn’t reply. I just wanna say that these days I usually just check my phone. No time to go online often lately, you can even see by how frequent I update my blog that my day is always full. Oh and if you messaged me on fb, don’t get the wrong account yeah? ;) My fb is private and not visible on search engine so you might have messaged the wrong person. But I will try my best to reply asap once I go on. I feel so lucky to have very very dedicated teachers especially like Ms Ng and Mr Lim.
