Choosing A Scholarship: JPA or Shell Scholarship:)

Dear all, thanks for taking the time to read my blog. Here is a topic that I thought would be interesting as practically EVERYONE is asking me about it. hahaha Ok so I graduated from school in 2010 and managed to pass my SPM with straight A+. Even before SPM and getting the results, my aim and goal was to achieve a full scholarship and that is why I studied hard and worked persistently throughout my school years. When I was small I asked my mum the importance of studying hard and to get good grades. She explained that it is for later on when I go to university and she told me how expensive the cost was if we were to pay ourselves. I still remember that time although I felt so small and it felt like ages ago. I wanted to achieve a full scholarship and I did not want my parents to have to pay for my higher education as a token of appreciation. At least this is something I can try to do and they can save their money for other important things. I applied for many scholarships but the m

Cooking

Since that day that I messed up while cooking curry, I recently cooked it again 2 days ago. That time I used turmeric instead of curry powder because they looked the same to me. Whoopsies! Guess what? Everyone said that is was nice and much improvement. Today I made chillied chicken (ayam merah) and my sister was like " Mum, did you cook this? It tastes nice." hahaha Well, I am seriously enjoying the fun of cooking and eating the food I cook. I had no idea last year that I could cook one day. To me, its really fun because we can try out different things and change the recipe as we like it to be. I like sour food so I always add lemon juice into the dishes:D while my mum likes to use asam jawa( not sure what its called in English). All this food talk is making me hungry. PS: Today I was suppose to take another piano video but my brother wouldn't let me. He wanted to watch TV the whole day so maybe I'll take it another day and post it here. Till then!;)

Life After SPM

SPM ended on 8th December 2011 ( Biology was the last paper) which meant freedom started on 9th December 2011 onwards! Schools over and of all the things I planned for I did not I repeat I do not plan to start on ANY course in January because of many reasons. That was first on my Not-To-Do List (not that I have one). I wanted to do so many things after ending school life which lasted for 12 years ( 1 year-Kindergarten, 6years-Elementary school, 5years-High school). I wanted to learn to cook, get my driving license, go out for movies, karaoke, bowling, outings, etc shopping and relax, practice more on piano, try getting a job , stay at home and just do basically whatever I wanted to do. Ok what I mean when I say this is doing anything I want to, wake up at any time without thinking about exams, classes or much commitment. You see, when I do something for example go to college I want to be able to give full focus and do my best. In order to do that, I have to "want" to study

Death of A Pet

My sister's guinea pig died this morning. Do you remember the earlier post where I described Timmy and put pictures of him? He's gone... Unfortunately, Timmy broke a tooth and got really sick. His saliva kept dropping and wetting his chest. He couldn't eat well and looked weak. On Saturday, it looked so so weak that when my maid picked it up, Timmy couldn't support his neck and just hung his neck down weakly. Now, whenever I pass its cage I remember seeing it there. I remember taking photos of Timmy for my blog. But now, its under the ground resting. Its really sad that Timmy's gone and there is no more hearing it call us or squeak when its hungry. My maid and my sister should feel the saddest cuz they are the closest to it. She buried it near the playground in front of our house. May Timmy rest in peace down there. One day, we are having fun playing with you and another day you are gone. That's life. People, animal, things come and go. Be happy while they are

We tried each others recipe when they came over to Puteri's house in the evening. This year seems like cupcake year. Many people ar

Being An English Teacher

Goodafternoon Teacher Yasameen! Good afternoon class!:) That's how my day begins on Saturday at Brillington Language Centre. I love small kids and English is absolutely great for me besides Math:) I remember when I was small, I would follow my mum to the university she taught partime and she would give me an empty classroom. Instead of doing my work I would ALWAYS ALWAYS anticipate those days when I could follow her to work and pretend to be a teacher in the classroom. I would get the whiteboard marker and start writing and explaining. My little sis would always have to be the student and play along with me and sometimes she would be the teacher. When I was small there was 2 things I loved to do: 1. Play teacher. 2. Scan books/ items ( I used to go to the nearby library often. In USA, we had libraries near our house and it wasn't hard to find any books. So I would go there every week/ fortnight and borrow a couple of books. I would watch the lady s
