How To Live A Happier Life
You only get to live once. That's what they all say. Make the best outta it. But, they never tell us how. Being happy in life is not as difficult as you think. You don't need the biggest house, the latest BMW series, the most expensive dress, be the hottest or have a billion dollars to be happy. Happiness lies within your heart and you are the only person who can determine whether you are happy or not.
Ways to live happier - be thankful with what you have. Stop hoping for more and more and never realising what you have in front of you. Its not wrong to work harder and improve your life but don't complain all the time or you will never feel contentment in life.
Don't expect too much from people. As much as we need the people, friends, family around us, we have to always bear in mind that we have to do the most we can and not expect others to do it for us. We must remember that so we will not be disappointed when a person does not do what we expect them to.
Channel your sadness or disappointment or anger into something good or into something that will not affect yourself physically or mentally. Some people have this habit to hurt themselves with a razor or scissors when they're feeling depressed. Please don't do this. If you don't love yourself, think of God. He didn't create you for nothing. He created you because he saw something in you that was worth creating. How to deal with anger? Get a diary with a lock (so that nobody reads it) and a big black pen. Scribble and write anything and everything inside that diary with any sensor-ing. Tear the paper if you have to until the angers gone. If you're sad, make other people happy indirectly lifts your spirits up. You will realise that you ar not the only one with problems. Some people have worse.
As for me, I write poems best when I'm sad or down. So this negative energy should be channeled into something that won't hurt you or the people around you. If you're super angry with someone, just
keep quiet. You might accidentally say sth u don't mean and he/she will remember it forever.
Stop worrying too much. Its ok to think about future plans, problems, conflicts, how to solve them and work and commitments and projects but sometimes you just gotta learn to live at the present. Who says you will live till tomorrow? Make the best out of today. Make the best out of now. Don't put off things to the last minute and try to just be happy with what you're doing.
Work, studying and commitment is not pure joy. I have to admit. But, what are you going to do if you don't do those stuff? Have you ever asked yourself? Ok, let's see. You can go to the movies, play bowling, chitchat at the restaurant then what? Go home and sleep and wake up and ? Play bowling again? That's boring unless you have COMMITMENT and HARDWORK to be on the national team or build a cinema of your own. Now with that, you're called successful and you can go to the cinema and play bowling everyday.
In this life, we don't have much choices. This is a true fact. Sometimes, we are born like that and at times we just have to follow what our parents want. But, happiness depends on how you react and how you take things. A simple " I drank coffee at the kitchen table while reading my favourite magazine" can be a really happy day for some people who live at the present.
Stop comparing yourself with other people. They are different, you are different. You got talents they don't. They got opportunity and stuff you don't. Variety is what makes this world a better place. Yes, jealousy comes along very easy upon seeing someone better off than you. Its human nature to always want good things. How bout if I tell you, you are one of the most amazing people on Earth because you are taking time to read a beneficial article about how to improve your life and that shows your concern and care towards your life. If you think no one loves or cares for you, deep in my heart I do because there is no such thing as saying nobody loves me. If i'm ever hearing this, your getting the x and o's.
Finally, just spend a few quiet minutes a day by yourself. As a Muslim, you have 5 prayers daily and this is the time where you should just clear your mind and think of God. Then after prayers, i always think of my day and what i've done while zikir (praising God). Its a pleasant feeling. Some people say, look at a rose 15 minutes a day but my daily prayer covers it all. That time just clear your thought, its hard but TRY. And you will get that calm sensation in your heart and mind and soul.
Before i end, learn to laugh at yourself. So what if you made a silly mistake and everyone laughed at you. Laugh along:) and learn to accept your flaws. Its ok to seem silly once in awhile. After all, nobody's perfect so
learn to be yourself!
