What You Need to Know Before Rebonding Your Hair
Most of us with frizzy or curly hair will bow down to the person who created the rebonding hair treatment. I was born with naturally straight hair, then sometime in my life my hair turned frizzy.
Rebonding your hair is the number 1 cause of hair damage. Its negative effects are superior to ALL the other hair treatments and considered the worst thing you could do to your hair- of course the last resort if you have no other way of keeping you hair the way you want it to be. From personal experience, I have rebonded my hair almost every year from the age of 12 which means approximately 6-7 times. I like the way my hair returns to its original look after rebonding. Another reason why I do it so often is because my mom will never stop the cliched question- "When are you going to do your hair again?" whenever the curls return. The last time i went to the salon I begged my hairstylist " Can I please do hair relaxing or any other option??" but she said that my hair was not suitable for that treatment as it will only last 3 months! For better and more satisfying effects, do hair rebonding :)
Many people do rebonding effortlessly but not many know the right way to care for the broken protein bonds ;)

Now there are a few things you need to know before and after rebonding your hair to ensure it remains healthy and moisturized.
- Do not wash your hair, comb too often, apply any form of serum/oil/cream for first 3 days.
- Wash your hair with cold water.
- You can still bathe but use a shower cap so your hair won't get wet.
- When washing your hair, use conditioner or moisture hair mask to restore the moisture and hair texture.
- A moisture hair mask will protect your hair better than conditioner, and most salons will recommend it after a rebond.
- Do not wear sunglasses or pin/clip your hair for first 3 months.
- Never ever think of coloring your hair right after/ before a rebond. Coloring treatments with ammonia or peroxide are especially a big NO-NO.
- Any treatment with harsh chemicals should be avoided for 3 to 6 months. Unless you're willing to take the risk or perhaps your hair is naturally moist, then give it a try.
- Your stylist may recommend you for highlighting or any other service after a gap of 1 month or so but do not get carried away “STAY AWAY”Once rebonded don’t think of doing anything to your hair for at least 6 months, not even a touch up.
- Do not use any heated electric instruments, not even a hair dryer.
- If you need to dry your hair quickly and hair dryer is unavoidable then use on cold air function where it will only blow lots of air.
- If you are going to blow-dry your hair, use an additional protein spray. It has substances that coat and protect the hair from heat, dirt and sun, while nourishing the hair at the same time.
- Have your hair trimmed on a regular basis; every three months would be ideal. If your ends split, this split can travel along the hair shaft, causing damage further up.
- Do not hang on to damaged hair for the sake of its length. Cut/ trim if you think it needs to. After all healthy hair looks better than long, unhealthy ones.
- A balanced diet is very important include a lot of nuts, sprouts and red meat in your diet, your hair is made up of protein and to nourish it you need to feed it with the right food.
Many people do rebonding effortlessly but not many know the right way to care for the broken protein bonds ;)

Hi alcen. Oh sorry I clicked delete by accident.
ReplyDeleteIt actually depends if your hair is the dry type. 3 weeks is quite recent and your hair is still new with that color so I think its best to at least wait 1 more month. Your new black color will stay better and your rebonding with last longer. And most important your hair doesnt get damaged :))
I rebonded my hair yesterday and I hate it so much. Can i wash my hair today to remove the chemicals?
ReplyDeleteIf you really want to get rid of the rebonding, yes you can wash it because the point of not washing is to keep your hair as straight as possible
Deletehi ive perm my hair 3 months ago is it ok to rebond it?
Deletehi ive perm my hair 3 months ago is it ok to rebond it?
Deletehi ive perm my hair 3 months ago..can i go rebonding?
DeleteCan I have a hair rebond if id just color my hair and the color last for two weeks? Does doing that will damage my hair if i decided to rebond it?
ReplyDeleteIts better for you to wait and rebond your hair after the 2 weeks. Too much chemicals might make your hair frizzy and brittle.
Deletehi..i rebonded my hair for about 2years ago, i did what the stylist said but after i washed it, nothing has changed..my hair is still brittle and buhaghag..why is that?
ReplyDeleteHi there. rebonding may cause the hair to be very brittle even after several years. Try using hair mask after shampooing your hair, leave for 5 mins then rinse it is very good for hair moisturising. then after u dry your hair apply hair serum (oil or cream) it will improve hair texture after a few months
Deletehi!i want to know if its okay to dye my hair now. Its been two weeks since i rebond it.thanks
ReplyDeleteHi 2 weeks is quite new. better to dye after a month it will prevent hair from being exposed to too much chemicals and also make the rebonded hair last longer :)
DeleteHow many times in a year rebonding can be done? is twice advisable like every six months? THankyou for your response :))
ReplyDeleteHi jenny :)I usually do it once a year to prevent my hair from being too dry. If you can maintain your hair moisture by applying conditioner after shampoo, leave-on serum, hair treatments, apply hair mask then every six months should be alright :D
Deleteone more thing, what's the best hair treatment products for rebonded hair? at the same time affordable and not time consuming?
ReplyDeleteTry l'oreal hair mask for dry hair. Apply after shampooing and rinse with water. then apply serum, the oily type has better effect than the cream type. Just apply a little at the tips of hair. Any brand for serum would be fine as long as it is oil-based. I've been using Sassy serum for the past couple of years. Quite reasonable price and good effects, even good smell
Deletehi..my hair was rebonded 8 months ago,and its wavy right now..i'm planning to dye my hair and have a rebond at the same time..do you think its safe and if it is possible? thanks in advance.
ReplyDeleteits alright to rebond since already 8 months but try not dying and rebond at the same time
Deletemaybe u could wait for a 3-4 weeks gap to ensure you hair doesnt get too dry
Deletehi there.. if i dye my hair first, how many weeks would i wait before rebonding it..i'm having trouble which would i do first.. dye or rebond? thanks...
DeleteIt should be rebond first then colour. Rebondingcream might lighten the hair colour as it is very acidic

ReplyDeleteHi. So, I have very kinky and curly hair. It was rebonded last 25th of April and like nothing happened it still looks like the way it was before the rebonding. And my stylist said that he'll come back and rebond it again after 1 month and that will be on May 25. Is this advisable? I need your urgent reply. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi angelica, first you need to check your hair and see if its is drier than usual or still the same texture. if it is much drier, then its best to wait another 2-3 months. If not, its alright to do rebonding on 25th. If you're still worried about your hair getting damaged, try doing a basic hair treatment right after the rebond. That's actually what I did today too :) It helps to restore hair moisture and remove extra chemicals. then at home, always use conditioner and hair serum and hair mask once a week. Hope it helps!
DeleteThank you very much. :) but the problem is, I don't know what treatment I will do
Deleteany hair moisturising treatment like butter mask
DeleteHi..my hair got burnt during rebonding unfortunately and even
ReplyDeleteAfter haircut, they look horrible..either the stylist used bad chemical or
The straightner was set at high temperature. When can I again
Rebond my hair as rebonding suits me?
Hi neha. before rebonding your hair, its best to check out the hair salon and the products they use. Some places offer cheap prices but they don't care at all about the quality of their service which is very irresponsible. In this case its best to wait till new hair grows ( around 10-15cm). If not your hair will just get more dry and brittle. right now try to find ways to increase your hair moisture. Apply serum, hair mask at home. You can even use natural products like coconut milk(apply on hair for 2 hours)or baby oil then immediately wash. Do this once a week and hopefully it will become better
DeleteHey, I kinda rebonded my hair, well I half rebonded it so my bottom still has curls. I put a serum, oil and cream to the curls of my hair and wiped of some on the rebonded area will that effect the rebonded part?
ReplyDeleteonly for the first 3 days you cannot apply any serum or oil on rebonded part. after that, its ok
Deletehi there =) I had just done my rebonding few days back and it's now starting to curl back...my stylist told me because my hair is shoulder length that's why is easier to curl..is it true? and unfortunately I'd used hair dryer this 2 days also..will it affect the period of keeping the hair straight?
ReplyDeleteHey ^^ i dont think shoulder length hair affects the duration of your hair being straight or curly but maybe what your hair stylist meant was that longer hair has greater volume so the hair looks straighter for a longer time. When your hair is shorter and new hair grows it can be easily seen. I use a hair dryer too but only once or twice a week. not too frequent because it reduces hair moisture a lot. I advice you to apply hair serum on wet hair before hair drying. it really works! the hair becomes softer
DeleteHi. It has been 5 months since my hair got last rebonded, it was done on December last year and I'm planning to take it for rebonding TOMORROW again. Is it okay? I mean, 5 months is quite long enough, I think? I went to the salon today where I usually get my hair rebond and the hair stylist said that it's fine because the waves are purely shown and stuff like that. Please respond before tomorrow comes :) It will be highly appreciated. :D
ReplyDeleteHi jazz oh sorry i just saw this today! Usually 5-6 months is alright,I just wanted to say if possible just ask your stylist to rebond the new hair only (that means from root to half-way) and NOT the rebonded hair below. if the same hair rebonded more than once it gets brittle
DeleteI colored my hair and its 2months now. Can I go rebond my hair as in now?
ReplyDeleteyes should be alright
Deletehi miss..im want to highlights my hair now and im planning to rebond it on May..is it ok.?!
DeleteHi. can i get a rebond after my coldwave last wednesday?
ReplyDeleteHi i never tried coldwave so I'm not sure of the effects on the hair personally. But what i know is that coldwave applies veryy strong chemicals so its best to wait a little while
DeleteHi Miss! I just rebonded my hair last December 2012. When can I rebond my hair again because there are visible breaks in my hair and it really annoys me :( I always rebond my hair though at my fave salon without complaints after how many months but when i tried rebonding at a new (and cheaper) salon, it was so regretting :( do you think it's best to rebond my hair again or should i wait it wash away the chemicals over time? help me please?
ReplyDeleteHi Sarfia! Rebonding is ranked as the most hair-damaging treatment of all time so its best done at established salons only, cheaper ones may be good but are a little risky. For instance shoulder-length hair at Derrick and Team is wonderful and only RM99. That's where I usually go. If new hair has grown, then yes you may do rebonding again now. Maybe this time make sure you do hair treatment as well and apply leave-on hair damaging products everytime u wash your hair. Maybe a week before going apply serum everyday then use hair mask after shampooing. it helps to maintain hair moisture
DeleteHad a bleach, and i was advise i can get a rebond once its gone..is that true?
ReplyDeleteAnd which one should come first, haircut or rebond on the same day?
thanks!
I would agree with that advice, get a rebond once its gone then rebond the new hair. Rebond then cut is better, usually its like that for me ^^
DeleteI had my hair rebonded yesterday and it's so flat. so im thinking about blowdrying it to have a little volume? is it fine?
ReplyDeleteThe super flatness wont last very long. After 2 weeks, it usually looks natural. After rebond, you shouldn't do anything to your hair for at least 3 days. Just wait a little while and your straight hair will last longer.
DeleteHi miss! Ive rebonded my hair last january 18 so its now 5 months, and now, the natural hair are visible. i have a wavy, dry and afro-like and its so embarrassing!! Should i rebond this again? P.S - I took a cellophane treatment just last month and it was a red cellophane. Is it not dangerous? its my 5th time rebond. please respond ASAP it will be highly appreciated! thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi nirvana! Cellophane treatment is very good for rebonded hair! But you did the color cellophane right, it will wash out in 8 weeks. Since you did it last month, try counting up till 8 weeks from the date you had your cellophane treatment. Thats the best time to do rebonding again:)
Deletethank you for responding and advice :D btw, the color have been washed off already so its okay now to rebond it?
Deleteshould be fine. welcome :D
DeleteHello... I had my hair rebonded last december 2012. It was actually rebond and cellophane. I wash my hair every other day with shampoo and conditioner. Before i dry it (I never use heat to dry my hair) with an electric fan, I apply serum. My concern is, my hair falls a lot. When I wash it, I see hair fall. When I comb it, not that much though. I was thinking about having it colored. Do you think I should? And I plan to rebond my hair next month and have it colored 2 months after. wouldn't it make my hair fall worse?
ReplyDeleteHi there, wow you're taking very good care of your hair with those steps mentioned. First bear in mind that you always need to rebond first then color because rebond cream is acidic and may lighten your colored hair. About the hair fall, its pretty normal if you have rebonded your hair many times, have you? I'm guessing that you have long hair. Hair fall is pretty normal too if you have long hair because of the volume. As long as its not leading to bald spots then its fine to rebond your hair soon
ReplyDeleteOMG thank u so much! Yes, I have rebonded my hair 4x already.. And I also have long hair.. Thank u so much.. Now i feel a lot better. thank u thank u thank u! :D
DeleteHi. I'm just a 16 year old girl. I'm planning to color my hair this week, and have a plan to get rebonded. Is it ok to color my hair first before rebonding my hair?
ReplyDeleterebond then color is better :)
DeleteHello, I am male 23 yo, Yesterday i went to a very famous saloon to get my hair rebond, I have hairs just above my shoulders, They did it in 3 hours and asked me not to wash them for 3 days...When i got home i was randomly looking at rebonding process on google, That saloon guy did all other procedure then steaming thing, so i got worried, now when i woke up this morning right and left ends from bottom are little turned like half circle shape.....will this get straight after 3 days wash? or i need to get back to him with complaint ??? Kindly reply asap
ReplyDeleteHi mario I cant imagine how the ends look like. If its only slightly then it may be straight again by maintaining with hair serum/cream. Perhaps its better if you consulted your hair stylist. They may be able to fix it.
Deletehi, last february this yaer, i curled my hair, since i don't like it.. 3 days after i rebonded my hair. a week after, i feel that my hair is not that straight.. that's why i let it be rebonded again.. 1 month after, i color it.. now my concern is.. last week of may until now, i am experiencing hair fall, everytime i wash and comb my hair.. can you help me fix this problem? thank u.. :)
ReplyDeleteMatet, wow rebond immediately after curling is not advisable. And you should wait a couple of months before rebonding again as it is chemically harmful to the hair. A little hairfall is normal after rebonding a couple of times. You can do a hairfall treatment at the salon and even apply certain oil on your scalp to enhance hair growth and strengthen the roots.
DeleteHello,i rebonded my hair last november and it was my 3rd times in rebonding I think they apply bad medicine on my hair..and I just colored my hair that time, It looks horrible now...I don't like to look in the mirror anymore! Its been 6 months ago now..Can I do rebond again?
ReplyDeleteOh what u should have done was rebond the only colored. Less damaging and better effects. The rebond cream may cause hair color to fade away. Yes 6 months should be fine just make sure to rebond the new hair and not all the way down.
DeleteHello which is better cellophane , or hair color?. i have rebonded for last two weeks. is it ok to havemy hair color or celophane? :) pleasw reply....uh
ReplyDeletecellophane has better effects but stronger chemicals. depends on which u prefer. both are nice
DeleteHi I know that after 3days of rebonding should have to wash hair, but since I'm not well is it ok to wash 4th day?
ReplyDeleteyes its fine
DeleteHi. Last october 2012 i rebond my hair and december i dyed it. Is it okay if im going to rebond my hair again this june 2013? My hair is below shoulder level.
ReplyDeleteshould be alright
DeleteHi, I had rebonded my hair 25 days back.after 10 days of rebonding i went for a step cut,at that time my stylist blow dried my hair and i discovered the second day after the hair wash the one section of my hair, that is the front side has lost that rebonding effect it looks wavy...can u suggest me what could be done to fix it coz all other section r pretty straight.should i tell them to fix it to rebond just that section.i use loreal serum which helps only 50 percent to fix this one and as this is the front portion it looks sad.i would like to colour my hair too...and my husband loves ponytail hairstyles when can i tie them???when can i use bumpits??? plz reply
ReplyDeleteyou can ask the salon to touch up and fix it thats the only way. Or you could buy a hair straightener at home and do it yourself after you wash your hair . you can tie it within a week, not too tight though
DeleteHi I rebonded my hair when it was December(2012) or January(2013) is it okay if I were to rebond my hair again in the June? Cause i have really fizzy hair, and it seems like that only way for me to look normal is to have a rebonding done
ReplyDelete6 months is usually fine, just rebond the new hair and not the straight ones to prevent hair damage
DeleteHi I am planning to get pregnant and i want to get my hair rebonded before that.is it ok or it can effect the baby. So wheather i can go for rebonding in july and i will plan for the baby in september.plz mail at ishapahuja512@yahoo.com.Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi, can i rebond my hair? i got highlights last november 2012, and i want to rebond my hair because the wavy hair is coming back
ReplyDeleteShould be fine more than 6months already
DeleteHi, i have a really urgent question. Im a guy and 24 years old. I rebonded my hair a month ago exactly but today i had it trimmed because it was curling from the ends and i had split ends as well. Although i loved my shoulder length hair; after the "trim" it looks short even though it isn't. My hair is now right below my ears compared to my shoulders. I want to know how long will it take to grow back to my shoulders again? should i comb my hair or not and why does my hair fall so much especially in the shower? i really miss my long hair, so i want it back quick
ReplyDeleteHi there, how long Im not quite sure, for different people its different. May be a couple of months. Yes you can comb. Hair fall is normal after doing rebonding, dont worry. Just if there are bald spots, do consult a specialist
DeleteHi dear .. Ur post is quite informative and helpful.. I have few questions and am hoping to get answers from you..
ReplyDeleteI had my relaxing on june 17th 2013.. And was asked to not to washmy hairs for 72 hours and i followed all the precautions etc but when i washed my hair after 3 days i got wavy result.. It was not even a straight one though frizzyness was not there but the straight look didnt come.. I called the salon girl and she came to my home n after seeing my hairs she said i didnt get the result because of harmonal problems as when i had relaxing it was my first day too.. And then she did the whole procedure again saying that now she is doing rebonding and after when it was done she again asked me to be careful of the same things and i did the same.. After 3 days of wait i washed my hairs n i got the sleek straight look not the poker one but it was good straight n not frizzy .. But whatever i was happy.. And now it had been ten days since my second rebonding within 20 days..n i am having few problems n few qts..
1.. Since i got relaxing n rebonding both within 20 days so will this cause any thing serious??
2. Can i apply heena after one month?
3. I am having hairfal while shampoing .. What can i do to save my hairs.. I am oiling my hairs every alternate day with mustard oil n while i do shampoo and oul message i get hairfall n even after combing my hairs after hair wash and otherwise the hairfall is normal like 2 to 3 hairs while combing.. Is it normal or do i need to worry..
4.ok as the weather in pakistan is very hot i do get sweat in my hairs will it cause my straight hairs to curl back again?
5.. I was using hair regrow spray before my rebonding can i use it now too??
6.. Will this hair falling finish my rebonding before time??
7. I got my hairs trimmed 4 days back.. Will it grow back straight ?
8. What else home remedy would u suggest so that it stops my hair fall.. Should i chnge my oil??
These are my confusions.. Hoping to get answers soon.. Thankyou so much..:)
N one more thing after my rebonding's first wash i tied my hairs in a pony tail and now i have a slight dent on that hairs.. Will it go away? Any way to make it alright?
ReplyDeleteHi :)) my hair is really damage. So i always tie up my hair leaving my bangs aside. And use a hair straightener for the bangs since it is wavy and irritating. I haven't been rebonded for almost a year and i was thinking to have one next week?any advice. And is it okay to cut my hair first before rebonding? I would actually makeit short. And can I do a PERMANENT cellophane with a red color rigth after rebonding?? Please reply thanks :)))
ReplyDeletehi actually im planning to rebound my hair on 16 august or 17 august but if i color my hair like 15 days before is that ok ? or it will harm me and the color get lightened after rebounding ?
ReplyDeletehi :) i had my rebonding last sunday. i had my PE just this tues and i got soaked by sweat. i was so eager to wash my hair but i remembered that i should only rinse after 3days so i waited for wed morning to wash. technically some hours to go then it's officially 3 days after my rebonding so i washed but when my hair was dry already it became less straight and the ends became curly what should i do? im not naturally curly.. just thick haired.
ReplyDeleteHi littleMissmeen Just wanted to ask is it safe to color my hair after 4 months of hair rebonding I am planning to color my hair by self.
ReplyDelete4 months should be fine :)
DeleteHi LittleMissMeen. I am so desperate about my hair.I have a rebonded hair last April 12,2013 and I dyed my hair last June 7,2013 But the color of my hair is going down and I would like to dye it again but also I would like to rebond it at the same time. The stylist told me I can use Hair Extenzo L'oreal. But the other one said it is good to do hair spa or keratin treatment after dying my hair. I dont know which one im so confused coz I like my hair more straight but not brittle or dry.. Any suggestion???? Thanks
ReplyDeletehi :) i hav very curely , frizzy and dry hairs , i'm just planning to go for rebonding, i'm just so tired of having being such curely hairs , and my hairs are so long , so is it good dor me to trim my hair before and then go for rebonding , because im scared that may be rebonding cause more damage to my hairs
ReplyDeleteyes trim it first then go for rebonding. U pay less that way. Rebonding is alright Ive done it more than 7 times since i was 12 just need to know the precautions like dont do it so often n apply serum etc
DeleteHi :) I rebonded my hair 8 months ago, is it okay if i bleach the ends of my hair?
ReplyDeleteshould be fine. 8months is long enough
Deletehiii dear.. my hair are white .. soo i use MEHANDI to colour them. i wanna rebonding of my hair, then after rebonding can i apply MEHANDI on my hair?please reply...
ReplyDeleteyes but maybe you could wait for a month until u apply anything on it
Deletehey..i just had my hair rebonded 4 months ago but i am observing more hair fall then the usual. It was not that much at the beggining but now after 2 months of rebonding it increased. How can i reduce this hair fall and i love these hairs after rebonding so i want to get touchuos after 3 months in december.Should i get the touchups so that there can be less chemicals involved or should i again do the rebonding.plz consult..thanks
ReplyDeleteHii dont worry, i get the hairfalls too but as long as no bald spots its ok :D u can do touchups. thats good enough so it will cause less hair damage
Deleteohkk thanks a lot...:):)
ReplyDeleteHi , is okay to have a rebond every six months? or better to have touch up only?
ReplyDeletetouch up
DeleteHello! You're probably a busy person so I'll go straight to the point. :)
ReplyDeleteI had my hair rebonded last July, however, as the weeks go by, it became fluffy and it has acquired peculiar waves along the neck area as if it was tied up in a ponytail (which I NEVER did). I was wondering how could I make my hair look as STRAIGHT, sleek and UN-FLUFFY as I first stepped out of the salon? This is the first time I had my hair go through a procedure so tedious and chemically-enriched so the changes worry me very much. I would sincerely appreciate it if you could share some insights about this matter. Thank you so much for going through this! :)
Hi sorry for the late reply. I dont think its possible for our hair to look like the first day of rebonding but what you can do is constantly apply serum at the hair tips and use conditioner, mask and not tie your hair. then to keep it nice you can do touch up every 6months :)
DeleteHi I just want to ask I did hair color 2x and a toner. Is it ok to rebond after 6 months? I am worried maybe it become frizzy or brittle. But I am doing treatment every week. Hair msk and serum everyday.
ReplyDeleteyup its ok
DeleteHi, I got the rebonding done on 23rd September'13, its been just 3 days and I want to go for hair coloring as well.. Please advise till when I should wait to get my hair colored.
ReplyDeletea month at least
Deletehi dear,ur post is really v informative..but im still v confused,my hairs r frizzy, curly n dry n hv a hair fall. i wash my hairs every alternate day n use conditionar.im new in malaysia as the climate here is v hot n humid n my hairs r getting worse they look v messy...so i hv decided to go for rebonding,as im new here so i dont know which hair saloon should i go ..every hair saloon has different rates im living in skudai.so plz guide me a good saloon.secondly ihv a shoulder cut right now should i go for a hair cut before rebond or after rebond..plz reply at ur earliest convenience i will really appreciate thank u v much.
ReplyDeleteHi there try Derrick and team :) I usually go for rebonding there. Hair cut after rebond is good. Put olive oil and serum if your hair gets too dry.Hope it goes well.
DeleteHi there...had a short hair..rebonded and coloured...1 day would be enough before washing my hair?
ReplyDeleteHi. Im gonna have my hair rebonded tomorrow. And I also want it to be cellophaned. Will it cause any damages?
ReplyDeleteHi.. I did relax my hair 4 days ago and after washing it is like nothing is different from the old hair.. What can I do,is it okay to re-bonding it again??
ReplyDeletehye! i just got my hair rebond today..i like it btw..must i get my hair rebond every 6months after my first rebond??
ReplyDeleteIs it better to get a haircut after or before rebonding?
ReplyDeleteIs it okay to get a long pixie haircut after it? Will the drastic chopping off of hair affect the rebonding?
Please help.
Thank You !

ReplyDeleteHi....I rebond my hair on 28 feb 2014 bt the finishing is too bad...next day my hair stylist again done rebonding with same procedure...nd my hair r luks gud bt 15 of march 2014 my hair r again feel like wavy nd curly in some area...I feel very bad plz tell what I do.....this feeling is too bad....
ReplyDeleteI have replied down there below your comment
DeleteHi there dont worry I have done rebonding more than 8 times and its normal. It means that your hair is healthy and acting naturally. It becomes like that once the chemicals are washed off and u wouldnt want the chemicals to be too strong or your hair will get damaged. Just apply serum and dont tie your hair. Prevent blowdrying as well and then u can touch up after 6 months
ReplyDeleteHi i colored my hair 2 months ago.. is it ok to rebond it now?
ReplyDeleteHi. Littlemissmeen. I had a rebond last friday. At an expensive salon. I never wet my hair for 3 days. It looks fine one those 3 days. I even got good comments from people. Btw, im a guy. And i have a fine hair texture. I went for a korean style short hair cut during the rebond. It was cheek length. But after i washed it on monday night. The ends looks a bit fly away or looks like split ends. Like a broom. Should i have the salon do it again. Wouldnt it get more damaged or cause more split ends and fly aways? I applied sone sort of keratin infused conditioner. It helps a bit but when you look yhe hair on close up. You could see the split ends/small fly aways. Ehat should i do??? So frustrating.
ReplyDeleteHi! My hair has very dry tips due to hair color, it was bleached then colored ombre style last August 2013. Now I'm planning to rebond it, should I get a haircut first then rebond it? or just rebond it with the color still on it.

Hi :)
ReplyDeleteI am 14 Turing 15 this month and I was wondering if it was okay to dye my hair now after rebonding it last year (October 2013 - 1 year and 2 months)
And after dying is there anything else I should know like what not to do or what to do?
The same person has been rebonding my hair since I was 11 or 12 and the results have always been good and its my 3rd rebond and I'm planning to stop (cuz my hairs okay now :) )
I dyed my hair 1 month before rebonding and it was my first time dying and my teachers only found out last week that my hair was dyed so they're making me change it to black :(
hairdye after rebonding is fine as long as you can keep your hair moisturised and not dry. avoid using hairdryers for first few months. also put on serum

Hi.. I just rebonded my hair yesterday thats 2nd NOV 2016 and i use Schwarzkopf Glatt no 1 for my coloured n curly/wavy hair.. the reason is that i had bought 400 ml creams but i used only 200ml of it and my hair looks as if i ONLY IRONED my hair though its permanent..it doesnt looks poky straight.. shall i use the same procedure of the other 200ml of cream agin? and when shall i do it or how long shall i wait to apply the same procedure to rebond again?
ReplyDeletewaiting for ur reply.Thank u
ReplyDeleteHi Lea what cream did you use? What is it meant for? If you did rebonding on Nov 2 then I advice not to use any creams at the moment because your hair has been exposed to a lot of heat and chemicals already. I would just use serum or oil to moisturise it and no strong creams. I would wait 6 months before rebonding again
ReplyDeleteHi Leena, it should be fine to colour as you have rebonded for almost a year
ReplyDeleteTo the person who asked about colouring, I would wait at least between one to three months before colouring your hair after rebonding
ReplyDeleteHena and mehndi after rebonding is fine because it is a natural ingredient.
ReplyDeleteTo the person with wavy hair, rebonding will be permanent until new hair grows usually. It starts off super straight but gets wavy over time. I like it because it keeps my hair neat
Sorry for the late replies:
ReplyDeleteJarin: Yes it should be fine, its been 6months
Aizel yes thats fine! 4 months
Diana one months is good
Nadine one week is too soon, wait at least a month
Haji Aslam: Yes it should be fine, after a month is good
ReplyDeleteAileen: Rebonded hair will eventually be wavy after a one or so it will look more natural. I agree with you I feel the same too
