Life Updates: November 2019

Dear blog, I clicked open and was like oh no, nervously checking when was my last blogpost and shoot 24 July 2019. Almost 4 months ago. How can time fly by so fast without me even feeling it? This year I have been extremely busy. No, busy is not even the word. I have been occupied almost every hour, minute and second with life passing by like a bullet train and I am trying my best to catch up. Now, its November and at least I can breathe a little. Good news of the year: I passed THE exams! Alhamdulillah, worked hard for everything. Priority is work for me in 2019 and this is the highlight... Bad news of the year: I lost my one and only pet hen, the dearest of my heart... I loved her so much. My bf and I always talk about her together. Losing her is really heartbreaking.. I got to know only a few weeks ago when I returned from my business trip and holidays in Europe. She passed away 5 days before my big exam and I did not know... Both the good news and bad news of 2019 happene

Mascara Kiss Me Review : Heroine Make Volume and Curl Mascara

Image
Dear all, Hope everyone is doing great:) I am so tired but so excited to share this new product of mine; Korean brand mascara Kiss Me Heroine Make Volume and Curl Mascara. My sister got it for me yesterday when she heard that I was looking for mascara in Sephora. She surprised me before my flight back to Miri from KL. I was like oh my, so excited to receive a new makeup product. You can get it at Watson or online. I think its a Japanese or Korean brand product. I have been using Benefit Mascara fibre BadGal bang! Also, using Body Shop Super Volume mascara that I received as a birthday gift from Body Shop in January 2017, can't believe I still have not finished it. Well, to be fair I only started properly wearing mascara in 2019. So, let me tell you all about the Kiss Me Mascara, omg it is so amazing! The reason why I like Benefit Mascara BadGal is that the fibres are so good, easy to remove and waterproof, no smudges. Also, they curl and lengthen my lashes well. I do not even

Pet Care: How to Care for Kittens

Image
Dear all, Hope everyone is doing great :) I have had an exhausting yet rewarding weekend. My mummy cat is in the hospital and her darling 4 little kittens are at home. The mum had a pretty bad injury, not exactly sure how it happened, nevertheless, the most important thing is that she is healing. She misses her kids so much. Apparently, my clothes had the smell of her kittens and she got very clingy and meowed so loud when she saw me this morning. Unfortunately, she was so upset when I had to leave that she scratched me for returning her back to the quarantine cage, she tried her best to resist. Oh dear, feel so sad seeing her miss her babies but I have to do what's best for her & do the best to take care of the kids when she is away.  I have been visiting her daily since she was admitted to the hospital on Thursday. Poor baby. So, I officially call this cat/work weekend. I have literally been to the vet & 4 different pet shops. Since the babies are not yet fully weaned o

How I Maintain my Body Weight

Dear all, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, maaf zahir & batin. Hope everyone had a good holiday! I was in KL and Malacca last week, it was so fun! Now back to work and to earn more $$ for more fun in life :) Kidding, life is not all about fun. Also, starting to think about responsibilities and savings and adult things. Anyhow, random info, Miss Russia/ first runner up Miss World just viewed my instastory. Once upon a time in my life, I was approached by someone influential in that industry who suggested I try Beauty Pageant or Miss Malaysia. Aww, I am honoured that he said that I actually look similar to Deborah Henry, former Miss Malaysia. I wrote about this before in my blog but I never mentioned that I did give it a think when I finished SPM. Education route & get a scholarship or go that route & do professional hosting & beauty pageants & things like that. The second option was not that sustainable I felt for me and only good when young & pretty. When you g

The Power of Kindness

Dear beautiful people, I really have been feeling like blogging and today I went to see a friend and at her desk, she had so many motivational quotes and it reminded me how much I like reading and writing motivational posts here. I also asked on instastory for suggestions! The first reply is motivational-related and the second one is 'Titi', my lovely pet. I love both suggestions but today I will write on the first suggestion. Thanks for the Titi suggestion, I keep forgetting that I want to write about her. People bring her up in our convo and I will glow to the max, love talking about her hehe. Also,  I was in Genting Highlands about to ride a super scary ride then suddenly it played the song by Selena Gomez, 'Kill Em with Kindness'. The lyrics really hit me. The world can be a nasty place.  We don't have to fall from grace. Put down the weapon you fight with. Kill em with kindness. You lies are bullets. Your mouth's a gun. No war in anger has ever

How to Let Go of Past Hurts

Dear all, Hope everyone is doing great. Tonight I feel like blogging :) In a good mood, not as busy tonight. Just checked in my flight, yay flying soon insyaAllah. This is a pretty deep topic. Felt like writing something deep, that hopefully most people can relate to. No matter who you are, student, teenager, adult, mum, grandma, dad, grandpa, brother, sister, friend, lover, neighbour, lover, any important person in your life, there is bound to be hurt in one way or another.  I realise that many of us live in the past, dwelling on the past hurts. I am not asking you to ignore or not acknowledge any hurtful feelings. You need to acknowledge and accept it fully before you can fully move past it. There must be a reason why it hurt, you have your reasons. If the person was not important, it would not hurt in the first place. Although you have a tendency to be annoyed by a random person or acquaintance, you are less likely to be hurt by them. It only hurts once you build a personal rela

Tips for Starting Your First Job

Dear all, Hope you are having a nice Saturday:) For me, today I fasted. I still have 2 days left from last Ramadan to replace. It was just a quiet, laid-back Saturday for me. Caught up with some chores and cleaning. I was online and did some work as well. Read a book, phoned and got dinner outside for buka puasa. Nothing much really. I'm trying to relax because I have a flight soon for work purposes. My housemate made colourful cornflakes so I had that for dessert. Yesterday, 15th March 2019 is my 1-year work anniversary in Shell. My first job and my first year of working alhamdulillah completed. Cheers to many more years of working insyaAllah. It was a very special day for me. One of my favourite days this year so far. I felt that the day was special to me but I did not expect anyone to know this special date. I told some people about it, those close to me that I was excited because 15th March would be 1 year from the day I first started. I arrived in the morning and a
