Hari Raya at Melaka

Dear all, i would like to wish you Selamat Hari Raya. To those who don't celebrate, happy holidays!;) Ramadhan is coming to an end..Raya is beginning. ( take note # raya is for a month not 2 days hehe) I feel a mixture of emotions; sad and happy. I'm at Melaka now for Hari Raya. We go here every year during raya except for 2006, the year my brother was born. Happy 5th Birthday my baby Erfan! This is my great grandmother's house (on my mom's side) and its near the Portuguese settlement and the sea. It used to be a kampung house before they renovated it into a single storey house of bricksX) Well, its pretty hot here and windy at night. 

Yesterday, I reached here and the little kids forced me to play Ice Cream Soda 1 2 3 and Datuk Harimau and Congkak. Then the boys started playing 'lawan-lawan' and I was the target. ish haha My grandaunts asked me to help 'anyam ketupat' and i just ketatkan je. Me have no idea how to make the anicely shaped ketupats. While I was helping and sat with my grandma and grand aunts, I listen to granny gossip. They were saying " i heard that young man married the 100+ old lady eww". They teased my maid and said they wanted to find a Bangladesh guy for her. XD They talked about politics in Penang. Fyi; Melaka and Penang have some connection. Oh and talking bout Melaka, my ancestors used to be from Nyonya Baba in Melaka (great grandmother) and Bugis. That's only on my mom's side. So i just listened and some people commented on my new hair: Tok cik said " Aku ingat anak buah aku rockstar omg...embarrasing" Some people think I look better with my old hair some think with my new. I'm just trying it out and its not much difference. Just a fringe that can be pinned up and a shorter first layer of my back hair. 

PS: i'm not fasting ( Period. sorry i have to mention this i don't want people to think i dont fast) and its hard to eat here. In KL, I can easily eat at home but here there's many people so you don't want the small kids to start telling everyone. My brother told my neighbour that I was not fasting while we were getting our stuff ready to balik kampung. My neighbours were off to Terengganu and by coincidence we left home at the same time. My little baby so naughty:P

These are the times when a Blackberry comes in useful. Last night i was "trying" to use my sister's BB. My mom saw and asked me if I wanted my own. Hmm.. the keypads are too small i dont feel comfortable typing. My sister suggested iPhone but everyone knows my overly-obssessed love for lotion so my hands get very moisturized most of the time so its not a good idea to use lotion. I sanggup sacrifice electronic gadgets for my precious lotion hehe. Well to be honest, its not that i make myself addicted to it but I have been using it as far as I can remember since small and the habit wont go away. I feel so uncomfortable without lotion. Like something's missing. If I ever ever left my lotion at home, i would stop by a pharmacy and get free sample of just buy one if I'm low on lotion. You know before my SPM, i was forced to hide all my big bottles of lotion because i couldnt afford getting my hands sweaty for a big test like SPM. hmm,, my bottle is right next to me now:D

Today is my baby Erfan's 5th  Birthday!!!  Its Phoebe Tan's 17th Birthday too. We gonna order cake soon for berbuka. Last day of berbuka :'(  Have a wonderful week ahead and a fabulous time celebrating raya with family and friends:P Be careful on the road. Last but not least, Happy Hari Raya Eve!!<3

Science is challenging in general but taking up ALL the science subjects is a real challenge indeed! Incredible Somebody asked me : How do you study the sciences? Different people have different abililities. Some people are the reading type so they do good in Biology, some are good in imagination and application so they excel in Physics. The approach to Physics, Chemistry and Biology are completely different so how do you manage to study all 3 effectively? Ok to be honest I would say that Physics was giving me a lot of hassle during my SPM days. I even took extra classes near my house once a week from Mr Jesu, a St John teacher so that I could improve my Physics. I got a B for Physics during Trial Exam and that really challenged me as I was aiming for A+. I was asking myself "Was it really possible to get an A+ in a subject so hard when it was difficult to even get an A?" Last Minute Add Math Tips For SPM

Hello there SPM Candidates 2012 ! SPM is really near and yes you are bound to feel some stress, hear and pressure but its alright, you're normal. There is something to worry about if you do not feel anything at all. I felt the same too and very nervous before each paper but remember your prayers, drink 'air zamzam' it makes you feel very calm, watch what you eat ( minimise fast food for a little while and no junk food bad for the brain) and remember to exercise. It releases the tension on those muscles. I remember how long essay papers made our back and shoulders hurt like mad. Now let's speak of Add Math. I do not want to give you any heavy list of things to do because exams are very near so I will just let you know how you can make the best preparation for your upcoming SPM Add Math paper, alright? 1. How To Clean White Laptop

Im using a white laptop. Laptops get easily dirty so imagine white ones. Got this one for my PMR Basically all my gadgets are white; handphone, laptop and even my car. I like the colour compared to black. Black seems very work-like and professional guyish/ working lady kinda thing. White seems more teenager/fun and girlish  in my opinion. Black is beautiful too. It would be my second choice. Ok let me get to the point. A few minutes or wait hours maybe, I turned on my laptop and my sister returned the transparent keypad cover. I MUST use that or else the keypads will turn yellow. When my sister returned them, I saw a perfectly beautiful cover, not the yellowish one I never bothered to clean. Emm actually I'm not very sure how to clean it to be exact. Well guess what? She cleaned with with NAIL POLISH REMOVER. My SPM Results

That morning i woke up and started to do everything slowly so that i will reach school late to get my results. I made excuses and told my mum to settle all her stuff first before going to my school to get the results. Finally when the clock showed 10 am, my mum said no we have to go to school now:) i was like oh my!!... butterflies were in my stomach and i felt my insides so hot and my heart was pounding and my palms were kinda sweaty. i wasnt this nervous yesterday but now that we're right in front of the school, i started to feel the heat and tension. =^.^= Ok so i entered and straight headed to the toilet. The moment i stepped in memories flashed in my mind cuz so many things happened last yearin this very toilet. I remember making frequent visits with Vinosha and i remember Raihan trimming my hair so that it will look nicer. I remember looking in the mirror and taking pictures. Family Vacation in Kota Kinabalu

Hello there everyone! Its almost the end of August and little did I know that I would be writing about my holiday of the year! And yes I have voted this vacation to be one of the top best places I've been to. It was planned in August and the flight and hotel was confirmed a week before we went there. Sometimes best things happen unplanned, as organised as I try to be, I actually enjoy fun unplanned things sometimes, especially since I'm free.
