My Dad

Father's Day was 19 June 2011 this year. I wanted to write this earlier but I didnt have the chance so I thought better late than never. 
I call my dad Baba. When we were small my cousins and I made a deal to call our parents Mama and Baba. hehe So its either Baba or Dad. In USA, its too formal to call your dad " father" but it seems normal in UK. Did you watch Parents Trap? One of the twins lived with their dad in a ranch and the other lived with their mom in the city. The one with the dad was pretty outgoing, on-the-go and informal and the other girl was proper, formal, good manners and etc. My sister and I LOVED to watch that movie over and over again. We used to say that we were like the two of them, only we lived together. haha =D 


Back to my story, my dad loves me a lot. I'm not only saying this but its true. My friends here in Malaysia don't really see him much cuz he's often out working. But he loves to be friends with my friends hahah. He would play along when I invited my friends for birthday parties and get to know them.


25 Facts About My Dad:

1.  He can't speak Malay so we speak English when he's around.
2.  He loves hot pepper ( chilli ) and eats them raw.
3. He gives me a special card every year for my birthday.
4. He loves gardening sooooooooo much that he plants so many flowers ( roses, jasmine flower, tulips, etc, cucumber, watermelon, chilli, tomatoes too many to write) in our garden before.
5. He always enforces me to hold a pencil properly when I was small.
6. He tells me he loves me all the time and he used to tell my teachers, friends and every single person that it was embarrasing..0.0
7. He used to be a soccer player ( football) in college and used to play in the state team.
8. He is worried that he will lose his muscles soon because he is moving to 50s.
9. He is my motivator other than my mom and is so positive-minded and makes me look at problems from a different angle.
10. He enforces the importance of being a good Muslim and reminds me of religion all the time.
11. I found a picture when he was young ( long messy hair and wearing black jackets like a naughty boy) that he quickly took it from me and hid it.
12. He always thinks I am small and a little girl that I have to remind him most of the times.
13. When I'm studying, he always brings treats to my room like fruits, chocolates, candies because he says I'll need it for my brain.
14. He always says that I am the best as well as my sister and we are forever number 1 to him.
15. He swore that if he had a son, he will take him on the roller coaster at Times Square but after Erfan was born, he didn't.
16. He emails me and sends funny messages or some incredible stuff going on in the world but I don't really read all of them. Sorry dad but I love the emails:):)
17. He loves nature and animals just like me ( he bought a cat for me and my sister eventhough my mum said no. He bought a ferret and a rabbit and oh too many to remember. my mum hates cats btw but she bought fish and hamsters for me.)
18. He is good at socialising from what I see cuz he has so many friends and he is funny too. 
19. He likes to give me hard Math questions and reward me with money if I can answer it.
20. He named my sister after a flower; Yasameen (Jasmine) and Nasreen( a rare flower) because he said we were lovely just like flowers.
21. He made me learn to swim because he promised to give me $$ if I could swim at our old house.
22. He uses jasmine or rose perfume.
23. He asked me to keep this secret ( When he was dating my mom and came late for their date, he didnt have time to buy flowers that he plucked some from a neighbour's house or on the streets) Shhhh Don't tell my mom...
24. He makes me feel so special and he emailed me yesterday and said that I am a wonderful girl. 
25. He says that nobody in the whole wide world is as important as me....:) ( and of course he says the same to my sister and all too hehe)

That's my dad and I love a lot him too. Sometimes we are not on the same page on certain things but in the end I always believe that he loves me just like my mom does and they always want the best<3 It has been several years since we celebrated Father's Day together.
