Fun Things to Do for Stay-at-Home

Hi everyone, With all the stay-at-home, I have a few suggestions on home activities you can do to boost your motivation and also to combat any boredom or the feeling of missing pre-covid times. I think the key here is to be creative, fill in your time well, and also make the best of what you have. Do remember that safety and health are the number 1 priority and should not be taken lightly. I try my best to stay indoors whenever possible and here are some suggestions on what you can do. Some involve buying items on Shoppee/Lazada but most of it can be done with whatever you have at home: ·         Read all those favourite books on your shelf you never had time to read before this.   ·          Work on sudoku or cross word puzzle - it really helps with critical thinking and problem solving skills.   ·          Board games - now you have all day for Monopoly and all the board games on your list. You name it; Twister, Snake and Ladder, Jenga, Clue, Scrabble, list goes on.. I recen

Salam and Hi Everyone

Salam and Hi to all my dearest blog readers,  I have not been on my blog for a year and a month, omg. I certainly owe you updates. Lots of things happened last year with the pandemic and all.  Happy news! I got married end of 2020 :') It was earlier than planned - all the stay-at-home enabled us to do sufficient planning within the short time and it was so so beautiful, such lovely memories. Even hearing back the songs at my wedding make me in a positive mood. We could not invite as many people as initially planned but I'm so thankful that we could still have a ceremony during that time, a photoshoot and to be able to receive guests and have most of the people closest to me present, alhamdulillah. My blog name will still be 'Miss Meen' although I'm technically a Mrs haha And, started selling homemade candles, arts and craft is my hobby and you can find out more @Glowandblow.candles on IG to find out more. There was and is definitely a lot of time spent at home and

Love from KL : Mid 2020

Dear all, Hope everyone is doing good. Things are hopefully getting better out there, it seems less restrictive and people are starting to go out and all. In my view, it is good for the economy but the battle is not over. It is still out there and it is just a matter of how confident you are to be out there vs how comfortable you are staying at home and going out only when necessary. Everyone's situation and personality are different so people would respond to this opportunity differently. Anyhow, it is a Saturday afternoon, feels calm and peaceful. I woke up a little later than normal today, went out for a cycle and then back home for breakfast. Grandma is over for the weekend so that's nice. She did home hair treatment for me last weekend. I love spas and since they were closed during MCO, I resorted to a lot of home treatment. So many things happened between the last time I wrote here and now. I traveled, airplane half empty, airport quiet and strange. I was fully wrappe

Reflection on Vivy Yusof Backlash

Dear all, Hope you are doing well. Today is Sunday and I went out to buy some things and run quick errands. I met a friend for a short while because I needed to take something from her so in the end, we thought why not we just do errands and grocery shopping together :)  It was so lovely to see her. It felt super sunny and hot today, I have not been out in 9 days so it felt a little odd going in the sunshine again and drive. I was hoping I would not forget how to drive ;) hehe joking. I posted in instastory a few days ago and asked for questions or blog topics suggestion and someone mentioned 'my view on Vivy Yusof backlash'. Lately I have been posting more on my close friends list because I have been at home so some of the sharings are too personal to share with everybody. I just added the few names that came up to my mind and the suggestions that IG gave me. Please forgive me if I forgot to add in your name but mostly  my audience there are ladies and I post a lot of fema

How to Be Productive When Working from Home

Dear all, It has been two weeks now working from home - 16 days to be exact for me and I feel that time has passed by so fast. I have been so busy and it has been faster than I thought it would be. I am working from home now and I am starting to like it especially after I setup my work station two weekends ago, so starting from 23 March, I was really enjoying work from home. Before that I was only using laptop and my home work desk was full of things so I missed my big L-shaped desk at the office. On the 22nd March, I had a spring cleaning in my room and it made a huge difference to the ambience and overall productivity. So rule #1, setup your work station the way you like it. You do not need to spend a lot of money but with what you have, make the best of it. Two years ago when I moved to this island for work, my dad and sister helped me design my room. We got a proper study table and office chair (with cushion seating and wheels) but I rarely use it. I would go to the office or spe

Reflection on the Covid-19: Working From Home #movementcontrolorder #MCO #RMO

Dear all, I hope you are doing ok. I am not going to say hope you are doing good - because this is not the time that normal people are doing good or great. The reality is that it is bad out there - people are dying and getting ill, it is spreading and things out there are not OK. Hence, why we are in the Restricted Movement Order or Movement Control Order. I like the RMO term because it reminds me of some geophysical things I do in my office work. Yes, I am working from home now and I have to say, I find that I am pretty productive at home. One of my lovely girlfriends commented on my IG story, well not really commented - she sent me a  nice long message to wish me well and hope everything is OK. She also asked if I could give tips on how I become productive while working at home or at least I try to. The entire week this week, I have worked a lot, had lots of meetings and good discussions until about 7pm or so sometimes. Today, I was the least productive of the week - I went groce

Makeup Tips - What to Know Before You Start Wearing Makeup

Dear all, I hope you are having a good, relaxing weekend & staying indoors as much as possible. My prayers are with all those people affected by this global pandemic. I do not intend to mention anything regarding the topic because there is so much coverage on the news and it may cause negative emotions so yeah. I just wanted to make sure everyone is doing ok and that if somebody affected is reading this, sending love to you. People out there are showing their true colours. There is not only racism going on - there are extreme discrimination and mere judgement upon others. You see immediately the people with wisdom and knowledge and are able to differentiate with those who are not. Anyhow, this weekend I spent the longest time indoors in a long time. I am usually super productive or try to be hehe and always moving around here and there but this weekend was slightly different - it was quieter and more relaxing. To my surprise, I did not know that I had not had a super relaxing weeke
