World Cup 2014- Football Match for my 1st time

Image
The last time it was World Cup, I was in Form 5 I think -my SPM year. Before my brother was born, my football interest was literally zero. Now that my brother and <3 are both big football fans, I'm beginning to learn more and more everyday, even asked to play it sometimes >< Speaking of World Cup, I was surprised when I received tickets for the International Friendly Match between Peru and England from <3 :) It was a preparation for both teams before the big World Cup and the match was held in Wembley Stadium, London. This pleasant surprise was received at Alicante Airport, Spain via watsapp. I was on my way back to London at that time :) Being my first football match, I did not know what to expect. Some of my girlfriends said it was boring and sleepy while some said it was amazing. To me, anything that the people I love find interesting would definitely be worth my time.  So, the first step was to figure out what to wear. I only had 1 ne

Before you read this post, perhaps it would be more helpful if you press the link I included below at the end of this post. In case you didn't know, it currently has 126 comments and 51 693 total pageviews ( only I can retrieve this information). How did this happen? I have no idea. Google mistakenly listed me as a Professional Hairstylist I guess. And the reason why I decided to write this post was so that I can officially inform readers that I am not. I know this is so random. My blog is more catered for Education topics, motivation, scholarships and some updates of my life. However, there was one day that I came back from the salon after doing my regular rebonding and hair treatment, I decided to write that post which became one of the top post on Google when you type 'rebonding'.  Nevertheless, yes I do rebond my hair every single year, sometimes twice a year since I was in Year 6 ^^ So perhaps, some of the tips I learned along the way and hair products I discovered

Worry Less, Believe in Yourself More

Dear all, its been awhile since I wrote a motivation article. I know this time of the year is exam season for many people. As for myself, I am done with exams for this term :) I chose to write on this topic because I feel that it relates to almost everybody. No matter what stage of life you are in now, there have been or will be a point that you feel worried about something. I once read a quote that said " Worrying is worse than the problem itself". Its difficult to not worry about something, may it be your future, your exams, a project, or anything significant in your life.  When there is something on your mind, it is difficult to think of other things and you will be focused on trying to find a solution for that particular thing. But if you knew that someone would take care of it. There is nothing to worry about and you just need to wait and be patient for the results, how would you feel? Definitely very relieved I'm sure :) Whenever you feel worried, try to have the

Fieldwork in Spain

Image
Dear all, thank you for waiting patiently for my next post. After 2 weeks or pure hard work in Spain, I am now back :) Here is a short story of my little adventure. Before going there, most of us weren't sure of what to expect as it was our first time going on a real mapping trip. Dorset was just a short 3 days and only 1 of those days involved mapping. This time is was 1 week of geology exercises at different places and 1 week of mapping. Overall, the trip was what I'd call PURE hardwork, physically and mentally. We worked almost all days including Saturday and half a day on Sunday. Basically the routine was: 630- Woke up for prayers, got ready 745- Breakfast, make your own lunch 845- Gather outside to go to destination 9-5- Work continuously in the field while carrying a rucksack, only quick break for lunch 6- Reach home, line up for the shower 7 or 8 (depends on which group you are changes alternate days)- Dinner 9- Meet lecturers at Shady Grove (the

My Easter Holidays

Image
Hello there everyone! Holidays are always my favourite and the last time I had one was during Christmas when I went back to Malaysia. Easter break started on the 30th March, the first Saturday after my Dorset trip. Its been a very busy and productive holiday indeed and now I have exams in 1 week.  The first Saturday was also Priya's birthday so we had a birthday dinner for her on Friday night. The most amazing thing was that every single thing was home made, including sushi! And I even tried making sushi with egg/ chicken/ salmon inside. The next day we went to her place and baked brownies. That Monday, I had to move out of my halls because there was electricity fixation. We moved temporarily to a hall for 3 days and the place was very near Imperial's gym and a garden. It was like a blessing in disguise because despite the packing up, we got free food vouchers!! The food vouchers were more than enough to spend for 3 days and we could only use it in Imperial foo
